Bertha Brown 98, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at The Cedars in Tupelo, MS. Bertha was born December 24, 1918 to Andrew Jefferson Mitchell and Vera Ray Mitchell in Montgomery County. Bertha was a member of Liberty Methodist Church and worked as a Beautican.
Services will be Friday June 23, 2017 at 11:00 am at Liberty Methodist Church in Asland, MS. There will be a visitation at the church Friday morning at 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery in Ashland, MS.
Bertha is survived by her son, Jimmy Mitchell, Chambliss, MS. Two daughters Barbara Cox (Billy) Falls Church, VA. and Anzonettie Brown, Key West, FL. Three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Bertha is preceded in death by her husband Percy Brown and a grandson.
