Deborah Elaine Walker Clifton

Deborah Elaine Walker Clifton, (MeMe), 65 died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Baptist East Hospital. She was born on Saturday, December 24, 1955 in Ripley, MS to the Late Hugh Walker and Lilly Wilbanks Huff. She was married on June 1, 1973 to Ward Clifton. She was a loving wife, mother and MeMe to her 10 grandchildren. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where served tirelessly. She loved decorating and cooking for camp meetings. She also served as Vacation Bible School and Sunday School Teachers. She taught for many years in the Christian School her children attended. She lived a life of service to her God, her family and her community.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years. Three sons: Brad Clifton (Mendy) of Potts Camp, Brian Clifton (Bethany) and Blake Clifton (Dana) all of Hickory Flat, MS. Ten grandchildren: Myles Clifton, Madeline Clifton, Ian Clifton, Bryce Clifton, Brayden Clifton, Braxton Clifton, Alyssa Clifton, Jake Clifton, Preston Clifton and MaryLea Clifton. Her mother, Lilly Huff (Dave) of Atoka, Tn. Her stepmother (Nellie) of Falkner, MS. One brother, Andy Walker of Brighten, Tn. Two stepbrothers: Hugh Walker Jr. of Ohio and Brandon Walker of Falkner, MS.
She was preceded in death by her father.
 
A visitation will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021, at the Holly Springs Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home, Monday, January 18, at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
 
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steve McGregor, Jonathan Walker, and Brandon Walker.
 
The family request that memorials be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or Cornerstone Baptist Church.
