Gene Holbrook 64, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at home in Holly Springs, MS. Gene was born Dedember 19, 1952 to James Asa Holbrook and Annis Fretwell Holbrook in Holly Springs, MS.Gene was a contractor,electrician and plumber. Gene was on the Holly Springs Fire Department for 48 years as a part time fire figter. Gene was a member of First Baptist Church in Holly Springs. Services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Holly Springs, MS. There will be a visitation at the church Wednesday morning begining at !0;00 am until service time. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetey in Holly Springs, MS. Gene is survived by his wife Carolyn Jordan Holbrook, Holly Springs, MS. Mother, Annis Holbrook, Holly Springs, MS. Son, Chris Fesmire (Stanley) Southaven, MS. Daughter, Cheri Simmons, Holly Springs, MS. Brother, Al (Squirrel) Holbrook, Holly Springs, MS. Two sisters, Ramona Warren (Danny) Nettleton, MS. and Katie Holbrook, Holly Springs, Ms.Three grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Simmons, Shirley Simmons and Patricia Simmons. Gene was preceded in death by his father, James Asa Holbrook and brother Mark Holbrook.
