George Thomas Stanton 87, passed away Monday January 9, 2017 at Baptist Hospital Memphis, TN. Thomas was born May 9, 1929 to George(Buddy) W. Stanton and Mittie Ann Joyner Stanton. Thomas was a member of the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thomas was an avid hunter, fisherman and all around out doors man.
Services will be Thursday January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ wiith a visitation Wednesday January 11, 2017 from 5:00 pm untin 9:00 pm at the church. Burial will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Thomas is survived by his wife Melba Faye Stanton, 3 sons, Jimmy Stanton (Bonnie) Potts Camp, MS Jacky Stanton (Louise) Hickory Flat, MS. Gary Stanton (Leslie) Potts Camp, MS a daughter Pam Anderson Potts Camp, MS a brother Johnny Stanton Hickory Flat, MS 4 sisters, Bernice Lemons Potts Camp, MS Rachel Vanzant Hickory Flat, MS Irene Pipkin Hickory Flat, MS Joyce Clifton Potts Camp, MS 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Thomas was preceded in death by a grandchild Madison McGregor, a daughter in law, Brenda Stanton and a son in law, Bob Anderson. |
