Herman Howard Hunter 87, passed away November 29, 2019 at the Mississippi Veterans Home, Oxford, MS. Herman was born May 29, 1932 to Lon Hunter and Lanora McNeely Hunter in Hickory Flat, MS. Herman was a member of First Baptist Church of Hickory Flat. Herman worked in manufacturing for Sunbeam and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Services will be held December 1, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be a visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until service. Burial will be at McKay Cemetery.
Herman is suvived by his wife Dale Hunter of Hickory Flat, MS. His children, Butch Hunter and Lynn Lunsford both of Hickory Flat, MS. Eight grandchildren, Brad Ray (Ashley), Bob Lunsford, Barrett Lunsford, Heather Jones (Charlie), Lana Goolsby (Steven), Jessica Jordan (Andy), Jason Hunter (Marilyn) and Justin Hunter. Fourteen great grandchildren, Cheyenne Jones, Hannah Ray, Bryce Hayes, Preston Ray, Parker Griffen, Mallory Goolsby, Presley Bolden, Anniston Jordan, Ainsley Jordan, Ayla Ryan Jordan, Chuck Hunter, Jenna Hunter, Hadley Hunter and Logan Hunter. One great great grandchild, Hatcher Scott.
