Hildred “Paul” Strickland, 89, of Ashland, died Oct. 28, 2016, at Ashland Health and Rehab. A Baptist, he was a logger.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 29 at Holly Springs Funeal Home Chapel. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Irene Strickland; a son, Bobby Joe Mathis (Bobbie Lynn), of Ashland; a brother, Billy Strickland (Jan) of Ashland; three sisters, Dorothy Orman of Falkner, Melba Orman, Darlene Hartley (Jerry), all of Ashland; and a grandchild.
