James Anderson

James “Bubba” Anderson, age 68 of Byhalia, MS. died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven, MS. He was an avid drag racer and hunter. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. “Bubba” was a hard worker and worked daily, hanging drywall until his hospitalization. 

 

Funeral services will be 10 am Friday September 28, 2018 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wilkerson Anderson; two sons, Chuck Wilkerson of Ashland and Matt Anderson (Kimberly) of Byhalia; two sisters, Carolyn Anderson and Josephine Thorton; three brothers, Jimmy, David and Cotton Anderson; four grandchildren, Hayden Wilkerson, Ty Wilkerson, Daniel Walker and Zyler Davis ; many nieces and nephews. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lilly Anderson; his father and mother in-law, Charles and Velma Wilkerson; his sisters, Helen Keith and Effie Anderson; his brother Milton Anderson; life long friend Jim “King Snake” Tuttle. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 on 9/27/18 at the funeral home and until service time on Friday  9/28/18

 

Pallbearers: Kevin Yager, Randy Yager, Joey Ward, Joey Young, J.L. Blackard, Charles Busby, Brad Davis, Jeffery Dale Abel’s 

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Anderson, Ron Chatterston,  and long time friend Rodger Smith.
