James Byrd 83, passed Tuesday Jannuary 24, 2017 at home in Lamar, MS. He was born June 11, 1933 in Lamar MS to Sam Byrd and Lottie Skelton Byrd. He wa a member of New Hope Baptist and a Contractor.
Services will be on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Holly Springs Funeral Home with a visitation at the funeral home starting at 12:00 until service time. Burial will be at the
John K. Skelton Cemetary in Lamar MS.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Byrd, a son Mickey Byrd (Lisa), two daughters, Pamela Fletcher and Jonne Collins all of Lamar, MS. Three brothers, Thomas Byrd, Lamar, MS. Larry Byrd, Iuka, MS. and Charles Byrd, Lamar, MS. 12 Grandchildren, and 30 Great Grandchikdren.
He was preceded in death by his Grandchild Kendell Byrd and Great Grandchildren Angel Baker and Megan Fletcher.
