James Troy Stowell 59, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in Hickory Flat, MS. James was born January 4, 1958 to Bert Stowell and Frances Littlejohn Stowell in Memphis, TN. James was a police officer. Services will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Center Hill Baptist Church in Counce, TN. There will be a visitation at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 pm. Burial will be at the Center Hill cemetery in Counce, TN. Jmaes is survived by his wife, Lisa Stowell, Hickory Flat, MS. Six sons, Jason Owen Memphis, TN, James Troy Stowell Jr. Memphis, TN, Thomas Hardin Lakeland, TN, Ian Hardin (Ashley) Lakeland, TN, Jacob Stowell (Katelyn) Batesville, MS, and Shane Stowell Hickory Flat, MS. Three daughters, Misty Cook West Memphis TN, Katie Lindsey (Nick) Ripley, MS, and Erica Stowell Batesville, MS. Three brothers, Thomas Stowell Corinth, MS, Bud Stowell Crump, TN, and Brian Stowell Virginia. Sister, Frances Webb Savannah, TN. Twelve grandchidren.

Troy was a dear friend of mine but when I got married in 93 we all went our separate ways. I am so sorry to hear about his passing because there is not a day that goes by I don't think about Troy. this makes two good friends from our championship team gone but not forgotten. God bless Troy's family and again I thank him for his service !
