Lawrence Wilburn 97, passed away January 10, 2020 at Methodist Hospital, Germantown, TN. Lawrence was born July 15, 1922 to John King Wilburn and Fannie Mae Mason Wilburn in the Early Grove community in Marshall County. Lawrence was a member of Early Grove Methodist Church and a Farmer. Lawrence was a WW II Veteran who served in Belgum and France from 1944 - 1945. Lawrence was the last surviving WW II Veteran in Benton County.
Services will be held January 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Early Grove Methodist Church, Lamar MS. There will be a visitation Sunday January 12, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Early Grove Cemetery.
Lawrence is survived by three sons, Lawrence Wilburn Jr. (Vickie) of Adamsville, TN, Wayne Wilburn (Kathy) of the Hopewell Community and Alfred Wilburn of Michigan City, MS. Two daughters, Linda Gatewood (Jerry) of Middleton, TN and Bonnie Copeland (Johnny) of Pickwick Lake, TN. Seven grandchildren and seventeen great grndchildren.
