Lottie Katherine (Edlin) Shaw, 89 returnrd to her heavenly home on March 4, 2017 following complications of a fall with a hip fracture.

Lottie was born to  Hub and Irene Edlin of Laws Hill MS. on May 22, 1927. She was the baby of the family and had two brothers, Artie and Cliff Edlin.

Lottie was blessed with a small but very loving and Chistian family. She married Boyd Shaw February 8, 1947. They were both very hard workers and cared about others. Lottie retired from William Carter Co. in Senatobia MS. Lottie loved her church and missed it very much when she was no longer able to attend. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday School at Harmontown Baptist Church in the past. In recent years, she was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Hernando MS.


Lottie and Boyd moved from their long time home place in Laws Hill to Hernando MS. and later moved to Providence Assited Living in 2012 due to declining health. Her children and family would like to acknowledge and express special appreciation to the staff at Providence Assisted Living in Senatobia MS. and Parkway Baptist Church in Hernando MS. for their kindness, visits, care, love and support shown to them.

Lottie is preceded in death by her husband, Boyd, her parents, Hub and Irene Edlin, and her brothers, Artie Edlin and Cliff Edlin.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Shaw Murchison (Tim), her son, Gary Shaw (Sheryl), grand daughters, Crystal Murchisonn Joyner (Jay), Camille Murchison Edwards (Chris), Lauren Shaw Hendrix (Lance) and Lindsey Shaw, great grandchildren, Matthew and Logan Joyner, and Ellie Kate and Hayden Edwards.

Services wil lbe Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with a visitaion beginning at 11:00 am. There will be a graveside service following the funeral at the Harmontown Baptist Church Cemetarty, Harmontown MS.
