On Saturday, May 22, 2021, Lovie Juanita Barry, loving wife and mother of four children, passed , away at the age of 91. She was the youngest of four children, born on June 17, 1929, to James David Janes and Julia Ethel Janes. Lovie was married to William (Bill) Howard Barry on January 4, 1948. While this was a love story that lasted over 73 years, he preceded her into Heaven. They had four children, Robert J Barry, Danny J Barry, Joy J Gilbreath, and Kay P Mynatt. She also leaves nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was a proud member of Slayden Baptist Church and sang in the choir for decades. God, her family, and her church were her prioriities throughout her life.
Make no mistake. She now resides with God and Bill in heaven, and can finally live without pain and the loneliness she dealt with after the passing of her husband.
Services for Mrs. Barry will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Slayden Baptist Church, at 11:00 am. There will be a visitation at the church, beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Slayden Cemetery, with Holly Springs Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. |
