Mary Sue Simmons 70, passed away December 17, 2018 at her home in Byhalia, MS. Mary Sue was born June 3, 1948 to Woodrow Wilson Akins and Margaret Magnolia Wilkerson Akins in Memphis, TN. Mary Sue was a Baptist and homemaker.
Services will be held December 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. There will be a visitation Thursday evening December 20, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be at New Garden Cemetery, Coldwater, MS
Mary Sue is survived by three daughters, Tammy Faye Simmons of Byhalia, MS, Rhonda Kaye Bartlett (Shannon) of Byhalia, MS and Teresa Denise James (Mark Ricker) of Michigan City, MS. Her brother, Charles Wilson Akins (Becky) of Louisiana. Her sister, Margie Ann Sanders of Byhalia, MS.Twenty grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Grandchildren are Jenny Sue Simmons, Austin Whitehead, Tonya Anette Busby, Rebeca Earnest, James Andrew Simmons, Wild Moon Hood, Jessica Lynn Smith, Nathan Gerald James, Tiffany Amber James, April Nicole Bartlett and Mary Elizabeth Bartlett.
Mary Sue was preceded in death by her husband Loyd Frank Simmons Sr.Her parents, Woodrow Wilson Akins and Margaret Magnolia Wilkerson Akins,, her brother, Mark Anthony Akins, her sisters, Wilma Cornell, Helen Joyner and Debra Jo Spencer, her son Loyd Frank Simmons Jr. and grandchild Tommy L. Simmons.
