Ailee Morris Coopwood, 81, of Byhalia, passed away at her home on February 25, 2024. She was born in Baldwyn, Mississippi, on October 22, 1942, to Robert Morris and Lois Caylor Morris. Mrs Coopwood was an accounting products clerk.
Mrs Coopwood is survived by a daughter, Claudia Williams (Jerry Lee) of Mt Pleasant, and a son, Benjamin Treadwell Coopwood Jr of Nashville, Tennessee. She also leaves a sister, Elaine Underwood of Guntown, four grandchildren, Nicholas Williams, Benjamin Treadwell Coopwood III, Sallee Christianson, and Mollee Gordon, and seven great grandchildren, Hayden Williams, Lily Chalk, Jeremy Coopwood, Lila Williams, Adalyn Chalk, Caroline Gordon, and Matthew Lee Christianson. She was preceded in death by her husband of over thirty years, Benjamin Treadwell Coopwood, a son, Jeffrey Garland Coopwood, and two sisters, Roberta Ramey and Susie Edgeworth.
Services for Mrs Coopwood will be held at the Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at noon. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00 am, and continue until service time. Burial will be in Mt Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Mt Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department. |
