Alfred Carter, 81, passed away at Holly Springs Health and Rehab on January 21, 2023. He was born in Comanche, Oklahoma, on July 24, 1941, to Alfred E Carter and Bernice Rochell Carter. Mr Carter was a Unied States Army veteran and a retired truck driver for Rodeway.
Mr Carter is survived by his wife, Billie Carter, two sons, Jeff Carter (Robin) and Brian Carter (Karen), three daughters Delores Baker (Rhett), Debra Taylor, and Lisa Harris. He also leaves ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three sisters, Mary Handel, Glenda Mitchell (Tom), and Barbara Cain (Jim). He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edmund Carter and Herman Carter.
Visitation and funeral are Friday, January 27, 2023, at Cook Funeral Chapel, 108 Main Street, Crossville, Illinois 62827. Visitation is 10 am and continues until funeral service at 12 noon. Burial with military honors will be in Stokes Chapel Cemetery near Crossville, Illinois.
