Steven Dewayne Gurley, 54, of Potts Camp, passed away in Baptist Hospital in Oxford, after battling pancreatic and kidney cancer, on May 1, 2025. He was born in New Albany, Mississippi, on July 6, 1970, to Lee Harvey Gurley and Donna McDougle Gurley. Steve was a Captain with the Marshall County Sheriff's Department, and a member of Heritage Apostolic Church.
Steve is survived by three daughters, Savannah Wilson (Matthew) of Booneville, Mississippi, and Victoria Gurley and Miley Gurley, both of Potts Camp. He also leaves a brother, Jason Gurley (Nikki) of Potts Camp, two nieces, a nephew, and two great nephews.
Funeral services for Steve will be held at Heritage Apostolic Church on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 2:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Monday evening, May 5, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Burial, following the funeral services will be at Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. |
