Martha Lee Prothro, 92, of Ashland, Mississippi passed away on February 2, 2026 at the Ashland Nursing Home. Martha was born to the late Mr. John and Mrs. Marie Alcorn Dunnahoe in St Louis, Missouri on January 21, 1934. She was Baptist in faith and worked as a teacher as well as a professional artist. She received her B.S. in Education from Louisiana Tech University.

 

Mrs. Prothro is survived by her loving husband of almost 70 years, Mr. John Robert Prothro, 2 sons, Stephen Prothro (Gwen Scholes) of Germantown, TN and David Prothro of Ashland, as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Judy and Nancy.

 

Mrs. Prothro will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
