Mrs. Betty Jean Carpenter, 89, of Coldwater, Mississippi passed away on September 3, 2026 peacefully at her home.
Betty was born on June 3, 1937 in Holly Springs, Mississippi to the late Mr. Jeston (Dude) Bolden and Mrs Maggie Bolden.
Betty is survived by her son, Terry Wayne Carpenter, three sisters: Dot Allen (Herbert Jr.),
Corrine Blour and Diane Marshall (Bill).
She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Carpenter, a son, James Lee Carpenter, her parents, Jeston (Dude) and Maggie Bolden, her three brothers: Ransom, John Frank and Lonnie Bolden. She also leaves behind a host of neices, nephews and friends.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her flowers and watching hummingbirds out her kitchen window.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 11:00 until service time at 1:00. Both will be held at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Emery Cemetery in Byhalia, Mississippi.
Dr. John Mohony and Walker Carpenter will be officiating the service. Pallbearers will be Stevie Carpenter, West Carpenter, Walker Carpenter, Leslie Bolden, Roger Bolden, Daniel Bolden and Scott Thompson. |
