Hazel Mae Skelton, 75, of Lamar, Mississippi passed away at the Oxford Baptist Memorial Hospital on July 21, 2026. Hazel was born to the late Mr. John K. Skelton and Mrs. Cassie Allen Skelton on January 23, 1951. She was a member of the Chewalla Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Stoney Edward Skelton, 2 sons: Terry Skelton (Shirley) of Lamar and Greg Skelton (Emily) of Waterford, 2 grandchildren: Kyle Skelton (Chelsea) and Kaylin Tatum (Phillip), as well as 2 great-grandchildren: Daisy Skelton and Eddie Skelton. She is also survived by a brother, Lewis Skelton of Lamar and 2 sisters: Faye Culver of Waterford and Brenda Hampton of Jackson, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters: Ruby Skelton and Linda Skelton, a brother, Jimmy Roger Skelton, as well as a great-grandchild Sadie Tatum. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM. All services will be held at the Chewalla Baptist Church (2020 Higdon Rd Holly Springs, Mississippi 38635) on Sunday, July 26th, 2026. Burial will follow in the Skelton Hill family Cemetery where a graveside service will take place.
