Deborah Ann "Debbie" Phillips, affectionately known as Debbie or Deb, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at the age of 72. A longtime resident of Laws Hill, Mississippi, Debbie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

 

Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband, Gary Phillips; her children, Chad Phillips and his wife, Ginger; Shawn Phillips and his wife, Julie; and Laci Akin and her husband, Justin. She was a loving grandmother to Tucker and Annalee and a proud great-grandmother to Aiden.

 

Debbie is survived by her siblings, Donnie Shaw, Brenda Nicholson and Tona Barrett. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tucker and Margaret Shaw; her sisters, Sue Dodson and Kathy "Kat" Shaw.

 

Debbie found joy in the simple things she loved most. She enjoyed making beautiful wreaths and bows, and she could always find a reason to go shopping. She loved taking pictures of everyone else and capturing the people and moments that mattered to her, although she would do just about anything to avoid being in a picture herself. That little quirk was simply part of what made Debbie who she was. Her creativity, humor, warmth, and love for her family were a special part of her life, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain in their hearts.

 

Visitation is Thursday September 24th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Funeral services, Friday September 25th at 2:00 p.m., at Holly Springs Funeral Home.
