Mary Eleanor Crawford, 86, of Holly Springs, Mississippi passed away at her residence on March 20, 2026. She was born to the late Mr. William Bryan Jones and Mrs. Virginia Stubbs Jones on October 12, 1939 in Ripley, Mississippi.

 

Eleanor had a long standing career as a bank teller at the Bank of Holly Springs where she truly enjoyed serving the customers. She loved visiting with people and had a heart for others. Eleanor was a lifelong member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ where she enjoyed fellowship and gospel singing. She took pleasure in things such as working in her yard, shopping, sitting on her deck, phone conversations, family gatherings, and the presence of her beloved cats ,of which, one named Monkey held a special place in her heart. She leaves behind a number of friends and family who will miss her dearly.

 

Mrs. Crawford is survived by 2 daughters: Paula Crawford Tindall of Vinton, Louisiana and Gini Crawford of Beaumont, Texas, 2 grandhcildren: Paige Whatley (Jake) of Iowa, Louisiana and Will Tindall (Paige) of Coldwater, Mississippi, 4 great-grandchildren: Adalyn Whatley, Austin Whatley, Weston Whatley, Benjamin Whatley, and one on the way. She is also survived by her sister Sara L. Rowell of Olive Branch whom she shared a special bond with. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as 2 brothers and a sister.

 

Visitation will be held from 10 until service time. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. All services will be held in the chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Holly Springs.
