Cordelia L. Stacks, 98, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February
8, 2026. Please join us in celebrating a rich and full life, honoring the joy she brought to
everyone.
Cordelia was born in Slayden, MS, on August 31, 1927 to Harvey and Lena Allen who bestowed upon her not only an elegant and romantic name but also gifted her with a bonded family of siblings; Johnny, Earl, Sam, Nettie, Minnie and Sue each sharing in her life's journey.
Cordelia married the love of her life, William Wilton Stacks. Their union stands as a shining
testament to the beauty of what true love is meant to be. She was the heart of the family, serving as a devoted wife and caring mother to her five children; Shelia, Allen, Pam, Debbie and Paige.
Cordelia was known for being a voracious reader, a dedicated member of her church choir and as the architect of the family traditions always making sure Christmas Eve was magical.
Cordelia is survived by her children, Shelia, Allen, Debbie and Paige; seven grandchildren, Stacey, Douglas, Ethan, Star, Theron, Sarah and Parker, five great grandchildren, Mia, Sophia, Bella,Mary Allen and Edie, along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Cordelia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Stacks and her daughter
Pam Nichols.
Cordelia especially will be remembered for her "Southern hospitality." She knew the importance of showing love, treating anyone she met as family and making sure no one ever left her home hungry.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 on Thursday February 19, 2026 at Holly Springs Funeral Home
with Funeral following at 12:00. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. |
