Joann Billings St. John, 87, of Red Banks, Mississippi passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee surrounded by family. She was born to the late Mr. Walter Lee Adams and Mrs. Jewell Irene Jones Adams on February 25, 1939 in Brighton, Tennessee. She was a member of the Assembly of God and worked as a cosmetologist.
Mrs. St John is survived by 3 daughters, Sheri Smiley (Ed/deceased) of Southaven, Wendy Campbell (James) of Olive Branch, and Lisa Cox (Eric) of Millington, TN; 8 grandchildren: Billy Pryor (Beck), James Campbell Jr. (Lisa), Hannah Taylor (Cameron), Matt Smiley (Susan), Paige Kinman (Will), Kyle Cox (Brandy), Donovan Cox, and Quinn Cox (Cadence); 10 great-grandchildren: Callie, Michael, Emma, Eliza Blake, Sophie, Ethan, Norah, Caroline, Dorothy, and Kaibrienne; 2 great-great- grandchildren: Josiah and Lila. She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Aubrey Billings, her parents, a daughter, Teresa Ann Billings, as well as a grandson, Joshua Pryor.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until service time. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Services will be held in the chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery where a graveside service will be held. Mrs. Joann truly loved the Lord and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
