Dennis James, 73, of Ashland, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 9, 2023. He was born on November 15, 1949, in Ripley, Mississippi, to Raymond James and Lula Mae Thrasher James. Mr James was a field supervisor with Cabetel, and a United States Army Veteran, serving in both Korea and Vietnam.
Mr James is survived by his wife, Kay Wylie James, four sons, Stephen James (Amanda) of Southaven, Michael Weeks (Jennifer) of Ashland, Wyatt Weeks (Olivia) of Ashland, and Stuart Hampton of Cayce, and two daughters Emily Hendrix of Holly Springs and Ashley Hampton of Cayce. He also leaves two brothers, Roy James of Atlanta, Georgia and Kevin James of Walnut, two sisters, Billye Pittman of Collierville, and Beth Pitt of Mt Pleasant, and twelve grandchildren.
Services for Mr James will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 3:00 pm, at Ashland Baptist Church. A visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and continue until service time. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. |
