Edsell Lee Williford, 81, of Grand Junction, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Mississippi. He was born in Ripley, Mississippi, on March 31, 1941, to Eugene and Mildred Williford. He attended Ripley High School and was voted Mr Ripley High in 1958. Edsell loved football, golf, and tennis, and he was an avid hunter. He ran Williford Construction for more than thirty years. He attended Roger Springs Church of Christ.
Edsell is survived by his son, Jeff Williford (Lisa) of Moscow, and daughters Lori Williford Harris (Jimmy) and Crystal Williford Mitchell (Patrick), all of Grand Junction. He also leaves ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a brother, Jimmy Franklin Williford (Doris) of Ripley, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Birdie Lou Williford, and a brother, Alvie Linville WIlliford.
Services for Mr Williford will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19,2023, at 2:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 12:45, and last until service time. Burial will be at Ashland Church of Christ Cemetery. |
