Eva Mae Harris

Eva Mae Odom Harris, 86, of Red Banks, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, after a long illness, on February 11, 2024.  She was born in Burnsville, Mississippi, on December 3, 1937, to Jim Odom and Carlis Pyle Odom.  Mrs Harris was a homemaker and a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. "Che Chee", as she was fondly called by her family, was admired my many, and loved by all!

Mrs Harris, the widow of William E Harris, is survived by two daughters, Sherry Diane Beasley of Memphis, Tennessee, and Shelly Spooner Clay, also of Memphis. She also leaves five grandchildren, Ashley Almeida, Kimberly Beasley, Elizabeth Swearengen, Matthew Swearengen, BJ Frans, and Nathan Frans, and five great grandchildren, Jalen Almeida, Lillian Beasley, Addison Renee Howard, Alexa McElya and Ember Perrigo. 

Services for Mrs Harris will be held at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church on Wednesday,  February 14, 2024, at 11:00 am.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am, and continue until service time.  The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. Burial will be at the Mt Pleasant Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mt Pleasant Baptist Church.

We are so sorry to hear of Eva’s passing. She and Bill were friends of ours and we were friends from Covenant Baptist Church. We will miss her dearly.
