Ina Fay Samples, 87, of Ashland, Mississippi, passed away in New Albany on July 28, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1934, in Ashland, to Henry Ayres Hobson and Minnie Arleta Simpson Hobson. Mrs Samples was the owner of Samples Gas Station and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Samples was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dube Samples. She is survived by a son, Randy Samples (Sonya), and a daughter, Cathy Carter, both of Ashland. She also leaves a sister, Elzine Holbook of Ashlalnd, a grandson, Chase Samples (Kelly) and two great grandchildren, Riggs Samples and Remi Samples. She was awaiting the arrival of a third great grandchild, Rowdy Samples.
Services for Mrs Samples will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ashland, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, following the service. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, August 1, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. |
