Kenneth R Bishop, 61, of Holly Springs, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on March 29, 2022. He was born on August 15, 1960, in Weisbaden, Germany, to Alan M Bishop and Jennie L Murray Bishop. Mr Bishop was employed in the oil industry as a rig move coordinator, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr Bishop is survived by his wife of forty three years, Cathy Bishop, his father, Alan M Bishop (June), and two daughters, Stacie L Bishop and Shanna M Pine (Michael). He also leaves his mother in law, Lila Camp, four sisters, Catherine L Bishop, Lecia D Slavens (Robert), Amanda Menier (Tim) and Allison Gerlitz (Doug), two brothers, David Gill (Michelle) and Kevin Gill, and exchange student, Monica Baez Holley (Brian). He was preceded in death by his mother.
Mr Bishop is also survived by his grandchildren, Phoenix Bishop, Ty Dominic, Wyatt Pine, Hopelynn Pine, Parker Pine, Peyton Pine, Michael S Pine, Austin Pine, Luna Holley and Canela Holley. Ken loved his family. He did not distinguish between half-siblings, step-siblings, etc. They were all his family--PERIOD. Numerous other people that he considered family or best friends were David Webster, Jay Tapy, John Miller, Ferdinand Dominic, John McMullen, John Buckingham, Joshua Bouchout, Charlie Ambrosia, and many others that include numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services for Mr Bishop will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 2:00 pm, in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home. A visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, and last until service time.
