Luther White

Luther G. White went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 30, 2020 at the age of 90.
He was born March 4, 1929 and was the youngest and last surviving child of Ben Franklin and Anna Mathis White.  He was preceded in
Death by his parents and his sister, Hattie McCutcheon of Thaxton, MS. And a brother John C. White of Iowa.

Luther is survived by his wife, Ann Epps White of Olive Branch, MS.
His daughters:Bonnie Epps Henry, her husband, Jerry – Hernando, MS.
Alice Epps Dean, her husband, Phil – Germantown, TN.
Donna Epps Garris, her husband, Pete – Senatobia, MS.
Cathy Epps Green, her husband, Brad – Kingston Springs, TN.

Luther was born in Wynne, Arkansas and attended Wynne High School.  He loved going to reunions and talking about his football days in high school. He joined the Air Force in 1948.
He was a member of Scottish Rite in Memphis, Wahabi Temple Shriner’s and a 32 degree Mason for more than 50 years.
He was a faithful member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church where Luke was a true servant of the Lord. 
He loved to fish and be on the water in his fishing boat and ski boat.
He left a legacy of a working hard and loving others and would often give quotes from his father.  One example was: help others, save your money and don’t ever owe anyone money!
He gave love and others loved him dearly.  God decided to welcome him home where Luke is truly celebrating his life’s work here on earth. Luke was a true disciple for Christ!

Luke’s tribute is such an accurate picture of who he was. A friend to all and loved by all. Rest in peace sweet friend. Condolences and love to the family. I will be praying for all of you during the coming days.
