Peggy Sue Akins Moore, 79, of Holly Springs, passed away at Alliance Healthcare on January 29, 2022. She was born on July 28, 1942, in Holly Springs, to Varner Akins and Della Yates Akins. Mrs Moore was a retired legal secretary and a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ.
Mrs Moore was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jerry O'Neal Moore Sr. She is survived by a son, Jerry O'Neal Moore Jr ( Wendy) of Holly Springs, and two daughters, Emily Moore Brewer (Darrell) of Olive Branch, and Kristen Moore Reid (Kerry) of Holly Springs; nine grandchildren, Chandler Brewer, Jathan Brewer (Ashley), Kaleb Reid (Shelby), Kelsie Reid, Mason Moore, Miles Moore (Katie), Morgan Moore, Selena Warren Felix (Pat), Sydney Warren Crabtree (Bronson). and one great grandchild, Annelise Wren Brewer. She also leaves two brothers, Richard Akins of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Robert Akins of Ringgold, Georgia, and a sister, Rebecca Akins Bryant of Holly Springs. Mrs Moore was also /preceded in death by her sisters, Dixie Akins Sanderson and Sandra K Akins, and her brother, Johnny Akins.
Graveside services for Mrs Moore will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Hill Crest Cemetery. A visitation will be held at noon at the Holly Springs Funeral Home. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jathan Brewer, Chandler Brewer, Mason Moore, Miles Moore, Morgan Moore, and Kaleb Reid.
