W.R. "Bobby" Fant 78, passed away December 2, 2017 at his home in Holly Springs, MS. Bobby was born December 16, 1938 to William Robert Fant Sr. and Flora Virginia Carter Fant in Memphis, TN. Bobby was a Presbryterian, Marshall County Tax Assessor & Collector 1980-2003, and former owner of John Deere dealership, Sports Coral ans Corral Self Storage.
Services will be held Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm. at the funeral home. There will be a visitation begining a 12:00 until servce time. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Holly Springs, MS.
Bobby is survived by his wife Martha Teel Fant Holly Springs, MS. Two sons, William "Robbin" Fant III (Dana) Starkville, MS, and David Fant (Dianen) Holly Springs, MS. Step son Randy Mayer Holly Springs, MS. Daughter, Tara Howard (Tim) Cary, NC. Step daughter Amy Palmer (Blake) Waterford, MS. Two brothers, Jimmy Fant Horn Lake, MS and Joe Fant Holly Springs, MS. Twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife Sylvia Tucker Fant and brother Billy Fant.
Memorial may be made to Marshall Academy, Holly Springs, MS.
Pallbearers are Trevor Howard, Tucker Fant, Winston Fant, Dean Wilson, Billy Mack Kinard, Taylor Nowell, Blake Palmer, Randy Mayer.
