Iva Jewell Osteen Work, 81, passed away at Landmark Community Nursing and Rehab Center in Booneville, Mississippi, on July 11, 2025. She was born in Marshall County, Mississippi, on January 27, 1944, to YG Osteen and Jessie Pearl Feathers Osteen. Mrs Work was an employee of the Wurlitzer Corporation until she became a full-time homemaker. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, and was very active in the Methodist Youth Fellowship programs when her children were involved.
Mrs Work, the widow of JB Work, is survived by a son, Johnny Work (Nena) of Iuka, and a daughter, Pam Work Helton (Kevin) of Oxford. She also leaves two brothers, Billy Osteen of Randolph, Mississippi, and Wayne Osteen (Cathy) of Ponototc, two sisters, Stella Hughes (T-Bone) of Byhalia, and Faye Webb of Tupelo, and three grandchildren, Robin Helton, Tanner Helton, and Alex Work.
Services for Mrs Work will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm, and continue unitl service time. Burial will be in Bethlehem United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Cemetery Fund, in care of the Potts Camp Bank, PO Box 367, Potts Camp, Mississippi 38659.
