Loyce Elizabeth Cox, 97, of Waterford, MS passed away at home on May 23, 2026. She was born in Marshall County on April 18, 1929, to the late Mr. Russell Smith and Mrs. Zelma Bailey Smith of Waterford.
She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She was a very special lady.
Loyce was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Melvin Lee Moore as well as her second husband, Joe Cox, sons, Mike Moore and Kerry Moore.
Loyce had four grandchildren, Melissa Haney (Mark) of Waterford, Jonathan Moore (Melissa) of Holly Springs, Blair Childers (Cole) of Ripley, Ms and Bethany Swift (Billy)Memphis, TN. Six great-grandchildren, Shauna Walker(Jack) of Tulsa, OK., Jordan Williamson(Jackson) Waterford, Case Moore and Tsai Moore. Mason Childers and Paislee Childers.
Services for Loyce will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home. A visitation for the family and friends will begin at 11:00 AM and continue until service time. Loyce will be buried at the Waterford Cemetery.

Mason Childers, Rosco Story, Ervin Smith, Hunter Snow, Darrell Wells and Steve Wilson.
