Lyla and grew up together in the same church and school and we were in the same graduating class. I can still remember the sound of her laugh anytime someone said anything funny. What a gift she was to any room she was in. I’’ll always remember her beautiful face when she smiled. May her memory be a blessing forever for you and all who loved her . I know my life is better because I have known her.

I was visiting Holly Springs today and found out that my sweet college roommate had passed away. I was her roommate at Ole Miss before she transferred to Mississippi State. Even though we only spent this short time together, I loved her so much. I recently reconnected through Facebook but was not aware of her illness. Prayers are with the family . I know you will miss that beautiful soul. Until we meet again worshiping our Savior in Heaven. Love, Jane

Condolences to and prayers for Lyla’s family. Lyla was such a sincere and sweet lady. I had the opportunity to get to know her when she worked at Click Magazine. She worked with the magazine and I with the printer. After the magazine, we crossed paths again at the Byhalia Chamber. A lady of great character, she will be missed!
