Elbert (E.J.) Smith 81, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Baptist East, Memphis , TN. Elbert was born Jauary 8, 1936 to Charles Howard Smith and Mary McCullough Smith in Cornersville. Elbert was a Baptist and worked as a forklift operator at Fruehaff.
Services will be Friday June 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. There will be a visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Burial will be at Early Grove Cemetery.
Elbert is survived by his son, Randall Smith, Memphis, TN. For daughters, Joanie Smith, Ocean Springs, MS. Teresa Watkins (Bro. Bill) Byhalia, MS. Gail Brooks (Ricky) Memphis, TN. Michelle Smith, Braden, TN. Two brothers, Sammy Smith, Mllington, TN. Don Smith, Bartlett, TN. Three sisters, Mattie Gwaltney, Lebanon, OR. Betty Swaltney, Buena Park, CA. Jean Levine, Hemet, CA. Seven grandchildren. Fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Elbert was preceded ib death by his grandson Jessie Moore, four bbrothers and four sisters. |
