Joseph Ely "Butch" Alford Jr

Joseph Ely "Butch" Alford Jr, 77, of Victoria, died on March 23, 2024, at his home. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 17, 1946,  Mr Alford was a United States Army Veteran and a Vietnam Veteran, and was retired from UPS.

Mr Alford is survived by his wife of fifty three years, Margaret "Cookie" Alford, his daughter, Ginger Warren (George Riley), and three sons, Joseph Ely Alford III (Michelle), J T Alford, and Mark Alford (Tracy).  He also leaves ten grandchildren, and a sister, Suzanne Alford Walker.  Mr Alford was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Hazel Nations Alford of Memphis, Tennessee,  a granddaughter, Courtney Alford of Victoria, and a son in law, James R Warren of Red Banks.

Services for Mr Alford will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 am.  A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening, March 27, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm.  Burial, including full military honors, will be at Byhalia Cemetery.
