Eugene Wilkerson Jr, 60, passed away at his home in Byhalia on December 8, 2025. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 16, 1965, to Harvey Eugene Wilkerson Sr. and Mary Ellen Medlin Wilkerson.

 

Eugene held a meaningful place in his family’s story. He took pride in being a father and deeply loved his grandchildren. His commitment to hard work was one of the ways he expressed care for those close to him. Whether on the road as a truck driver or serving as Chief with the Byhalia Volunteer Fire Department, Eugene gave his best in everything he took on.

 

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Glosson Wilkerson; his children, Adam Lee Wilkerson (Elizabeth) of Holly Springs, Andrew Taylor Wilkerson (Jacob) of Olive Branch, and Brittney Nicole Wilkerson of Byhalia; his brother, Carl Wilkerson of Olive Branch; his sister, Margie Wilkerson of Walls; and three grandchildren he adored — Alexis, McKenna, and Aulora Wilkerson.

 

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will follow in the Byhalia Cemetery, along with a graveside service.
