George Morgan Jr.,89, of Jackson, Tennessee passed away at his home on June 29, 2026.

George was born on March 26, 1937 to the late George Washington Morgan and Anner Mae Holmes Morgan in Lamar, Mississippi.

He was a Navy Veteran, Baptist in Faith and was a butcher for many years.

George is survived by two sons, Eddie Morgan (Janet) of Jackson
Tennessee and Duane Morgan of Holly Springs, Mississippi, a daughter, Linda Johnson (Gary) of Holly Springs, Mississippi, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Thompson Morgan and one grandchild, Stephanie Freels.

Services for Mr. Morgan will be in the Chapel at Holly Springs Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2026. The family will receive visitors starting at 10:00 until service at 12:00. Graveside service will be in Slayden Cemetery.
