James Alvie Swinford Sr.
James Alvie Swinford Sr. " Big Jake" 66, passed away April 26, 2019 at Baptist East Hospital, Memphis, TN. James was born August 24, 1952 to Alvie Swinford and Mae Lee Brooks Swinford in Ripley, MS. James was Pentecostal and worked as a millworker. Serices will be held April 29 ,2019 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. There will be a visitation Sunday evening April 28, 2019 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery. James is survived by hsi wife Laura Ann Swinford of Ashland, MS. Two sons, Donnie West and James Alvie Swinford Jr. (Ladresha) both of Ashland, MS. His brother, Richard Swinford of Walnut, MS. Three sisters, Linda Mauldin of Blue Mountain, MS, Nita Hudson of Ashland, MS and Kathy Cloeman of Senatobia, MS. Seven grandchildren.
