James "Sonny" Churchill 74, passed away September 2, 2018 at his home in Lamar, MS. Sonny was born November 5, 1943 to William Dixon Churchill and Ada Dawson Churchill in Marshall County, MS. Sonny was a Baptist and retired from the City of Holly Springs Street Maintanence Department.
Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. There will be a visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery, Potts Camp, MS.
Sonny is survived by his daughter, Patty Whisenant (Ricky) of Holly Springs, MS. Three grandchildren, Christopher Churchill (Amanda), Kristen Curl (Aaron), Jamie Hancock and four great grandchildren.
Sonny was preceded in death by his wife Ann Chhurchill and son James William Chuchill. |
