Joe Jordon 85, passed away February 3, 2019 at Baptist Hospital, New Albany, MS. Joe was born February 7, 1933 to Hubert Jordan and Willard Mathis Jordan in Collierville, TN. Joe was a member of Ashland Baptist Church. Joe was a graduate of Ashland High School and continued his education and received a degree in Agriculture from Mississippi State University and was in the ROTC.Joe received an award from Benton County Farm Bureau for " Young Farmers of America. Joe servred two years with the U.S. Army. Joe was a life long farmer in Benton County and parts of Tennesse.
Services will be held February 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Ashland Baptist Church. There will be a visitation at the church monday evening February 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM and burial will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
Joe is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Jordon of Ashland, MS. Two daughters, Terri Roberson (Terry) and Christy Sullivan (Harold). Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her brother Walter Jordan (Pat) and sister Frances May. |
