Michael Lowry Dyer

Michael Lowry Dyer lived the kind of life many people only dream about—a life filled with adventure, laughter, music, friendship, family, and absolutely no regrets. He embraced every day with enthusiasm, a generous spirit, and a love for people that left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mike was a devoted father, loving son, brother, uncle, coach, and friend. Yet if you knew Mike, you knew he didn't really have friends—he simply kept adding people to his family. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved. His presence could fill a room with laughter, and his absence leaves a void that will be felt by many for years to come.

From a young age, Mike lived life at full speed. He grew up riding BMX bikes, playing football, and chasing every adventure he could find. His competitive spirit followed him throughout life, whether he was competing in 8-ball pool tournaments, spending time on the golf course, or passionately cheering on his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide wasn't just a phrase to Mike—it was part of who he was.

Music was one of the great joys of Mike's life. He was a devoted fan of Widespread Panic and the Grateful Dead, finding freedom, friendship, and unforgettable memories through the music he loved. The concerts, road trips, and stories from those years became treasured chapters in a life already full of adventure.

For many years, Mike worked as a bartender, where his ability to connect with people made him much more than someone serving drinks. He became a listener, storyteller, encourager, and friend to countless people. Whether you met Mike for a few minutes or knew him for decades, he had a way of making you feel like family.

Of all the titles Mike carried throughout his life, none meant more to him than being a father. His greatest pride, deepest love, and most cherished role was being Jacob's dad. Coaching his son's football teams wasn't simply about the game—it was about spending time together, teaching life lessons, celebrating victories, and creating memories that would last a lifetime. The love Mike had for his son was evident in everything he did.

Mike was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind his son, Jacob; his sister, Tonya (Brent); his brother, Krishna; his nieces, Brianna and Caitlyn; his nephews, Chris and Marcus; and a countless number of friends who became family.

Mike's legacy is not measured by the years he lived, but by the lives he touched. He taught us to laugh often, love deeply, show up for the people who matter, and embrace every moment life offers. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in knowing that Mike lived fully, loved fiercely, and left this world having made it a better place for everyone lucky enough to know him.

He will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered forever.

"May your glass be filled, may your life be blessed."
