Robert Mills Jr, 87, of New Albany, passed away at Baptist Hospital-New Albany, on October 31, 2021. Mr Mills was born on March 23, 1934, in Byhalia, to Robert Mills Sr and Sally Cook Mills. He was self employed, and owned a tree trimming service and a member of the One Way Apostolic Church.
Mr Mills was predeceased by his wife, Jerline Ford Mills; sons Charles Ray Mills and Tony Carlton Mills; a daughter, Pamela Denise Shaw; and four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by a son, Robert Wayne Mills of Memphis, and four daughters, Joann Decker (Billy) of New Albany, Darlene Ballou (John) of Brighton, Tennessee, Delicia Honaker of Cordova, Tennessee, and Patricia Pruitt (Tommy) of Memphis. He also leaves a sister, Mary Brigance of Byhalia, a daughter in law, Jill Mills of Munford and seventeen grandchildren and thirty two great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a loving friend, Francis Hudson and four great grandchildren.
Services for Mr Mills will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor James C Jones officiating. A visitation will be held from noon until time for the service at 2:00. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery on Casey Road. |
