James Edward Houston
James Edward Houston, 86, of Hernando, Mississippi, passed away on July 27, 2021, in Southaven. He was born on August 31, 1934, to Joseph Thomas Houston and Effie Wilkerson Houston in Benton County, Mississippi. Mr. Houston was a retired machinist and a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Houston leaves his wife, Leathie Eddings Houston, and a son, Jim Houston (Lisa), all of Hernando, and a daughter, Teresa Ivy of Nixa, Missouri. He also leaves four grandchildren, Brandon Ivy, Lindsey Lantz, Erin Myatt, and Jamie Houston. Services for Mr. Houston will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashland. Burial will be at the Bluff Springs Cemetery following the service. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.
