Lafayette TItus Anderson

Lafayette Titus Anderson, 86, passed away at his home in Red Banks on February 16, 2024.  He was born in Mt Pleasant, Mississippi, on May 23, 1937, to Douglas  Anderson and Lelia McDougle Anderson. Mr Anderson was a fire fighter with the City of  Memphis for thirty years.

Mr Anderson is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Harris Anderson of Mt Pleasant, a son, Kevin Anderson (Stephanie) of Mt Pleasant, two step sons, RIchie Norton (Christy) of Southaven, and Brett Norton of Tennessee, and a daughter, Kathy Denise Anderson of Ashland.  He also leaves a sister, Dorothy Langston of Mt Pleasant, thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Tim Anderson.

Funeral services for Mr Anderson will be held at Bridgeway Baptist Church on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm, and last until service time. Burial will be in Carey Chapel Cemetery.

Want to send our condolences and prayers for the family during this difficult time. I like to refer to him as Coach Fat Anderson. I remember him taking a lot of time with me and kids my age when we were growing up. Teaching us how to play baseball and basketball. He was a great father figure and role model to me.
