Roy Gilmer Carpenter, 84, of Holly Springs, passed away at Baptist Hospital in Oxford on May 10, 2024. He was born in Holly Springs on January 7, 1940, to Doc Earl Carpenter and Clara Lillian McAlexander Carpenter. Mr Carpenter was a farmer and a United States Army Veteran.
Mr Carpenter is survived by his family including Danny Carpenter, Brad Carpenter, Kenneth Carpenter, Stephen Carpenter, Leigh Ann Carpenter, Hannah Carpenter Hoffine and Jayce Carpenter. He also leaves two brothers, Ronnie Carpenter of Drummonds, Tennessee, and John Paul Carpenter of Holly Springs.
Services for Mr Carpenter will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at Red Banks Baptist Church. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday evening, May 14, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Burial, following the service will be in Hill Crest Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge. |
