Anna “Sam” Howell, 82 of Hickory Flat, MS passed away on August 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones. Anna was born on September 9, 1942 in Savannah, GA to B.F Suddeth and Lydia Sharpe Suddeth. Anna was a Christian and worked for H&R Block.

Mrs. Howell is survived by her husband, Clyde Howell, daughters, Irene Dodd (Aron) of Dana Point, CA., Sunny Cooper (Eric) of Locust Grove, OK., Terry Dowler of Eufaula, OK., Michele Haley (Phillip) of Hickory Flat, MS. And Krystel Chism of Hickory Flat, MS. Anna also leaves her sister, Linda West of Melrose, FL., 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, Stewart Howell.

Services for Mrs. Howell will be Wednesday, August 27, 2025 in the Chapel at Holly Springs Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 10:00 and Funeral Service follows at 11:00. Burial will be at Temperance Hill Cemetery in Potts Camp, MS.

Pallbearers will be Zack Haley, Chris Howell, Ethan Howell, Adam Massengill, Lendsay Work, and Brandon Chism.

Brother Corey Lancaster will be officiating.
