Aubrey "Pete" Skelton, 91, of Holly Springs, passed peacefully away at his home and surrounded by his family, on August 17, 2022. He was born on May 22, 1931, in Marshall County, to W A "Bill" Skelton and Gertha Fuller Skelton. Mr Skelton was a United States Army Veteran, a former employee of Fruehaul Trailer Company, and a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.
Mr Skelton is survived by his wife of seventy years and one week, Mary Hester Skelton, and a son, Dwight Skelton (Darlene), all of Holly Springs. He also leaves a grandson, Cody Skelton (Liz) of Clanton, Alabama, and two sisters, Louise Skelton of Holly Springs, and Mary Francis Clark of New Albany.
Funeral services for Mr Skelton will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at noon, at Clear Creek Baptist Church. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 am and last until service time. Burial will be at Skelton Cemetery. The Holly Springs Funeral Home has charge.
