Coy Deberry

Coy Deberry, 94, of Holly Springs, passed away on July 13, 2022 at Alliance Helathcare in Holly Springs.  She was born on January 13, 1928, in Saltillo, Mississippi, to Joseph King and Willie Lee.  Mrs Deberry was retired as a supervisor with the Holly Springs Utility Department, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Holly Springs.

Mrs Deberry is survived by her grandchildren, Michael Hogan (Tonya) of Potts Camp and Michelle Seale (Bob) of Hernando.  She also leaves five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Deberry, and a son, Edward Hogan.  

Services for Mrs Deberry will be held in the Chapel of the Holly Springs Funeral Home on July 16, 2022 at 10:00 am.  A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:00 am, and last until service time.  Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery.

Coy was my dear friend and stepmother. I stayed in close touch with her over the years, especially after she moved back to Holly Springs.
We loved swapping family gossip, especially stories about my father and their life together from 1961 until his death in 1975.
