Doris Burchette Edwards, 86, of Red Banks, passed away on July 21, 2022, at Baptist Hospital in Collierville, Tennessee. She was born on January 7, 1936, in Moscow, Tennessee, to Boyd Burchette and Anna McClure Burchette. Mrs Edwards was retired from Carrier, and was a member of Carey Chapel Baptist Church.
Mrs Edwards is survived by two daughters, Brenda Smith of Red Banks, and Bonnie Fletcher of Byhalia, three sons, Tommy Edwards, Randy Edwards (Carolyn), and Scotty Edwards, all of Red Banks. She also leaves three brothers, Jerry Burchette of Grand Junction, Tennessee, Larry Burchette of Savannah, Tennessee, and Stanley Mathis of Somerville, Tennessee, and two sisters, Beverly Hamm and Polly Campbell, both of Somerville, and fourteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Edwards, and a daughter, Nancy Edwards.
Services for Mrs Edwards will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Carey Chapel Baptist Church. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm and last until service time. Burial, following the service, will be in Carey Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Chris Edwards, Travis Edwards, Timmy Edwards, Brandon Edwards, Clay Smith, John Smith, Donavon Miller, and Jeff Miller. |
